Why We're Launching Sunday Power Yoga at Fithouse 818

At Fithouse 818, we've always approached training with one goal: results that actually last.

And if there's one thing most people are missing in their routine, it's not effort ffort. It’s balance.

That’s exactly why we’re launching Sunday Power Yoga.


What This Class Actually Is

This isn’t your typical slow-paced yoga class.

Our Sunday sessions are built around a high-intensity vinyasa flow—think continuous movement, controlled strength, and intentional mobility work all in one 60-minute session.

It’s the intersection of:

  • Strength training (holding, stabilizing, controlling your body)

  • Mobility work (improving range of motion and joint health)

  • Conditioning (keeping your body moving with purpose)

You’ll feel challenged during the class—but you’ll also leave feeling looser, more mobile, and reset by the end.

It’s high energy when it needs to be, and finishes with a calm, grounded reset so you walk out better than you came in.


Why Strength Training Needs Yoga

Most people focus on lifting, classes, or high-intensity workouts—and completely ignore how their body moves.

That’s where problems start:

  • Tight hips

  • Stiff backs

  • Limited range of motion

  • Lingering soreness

Over time, that leads to plateaus, poor movement, and eventually injury.

Power Yoga fills that gap.

It allows you to:

  • Maintain intensity while improving control

  • Build strength in underused positions

We’re officially launching this class:
Sunday 4/19 at 8:00 AM with Bernie

This first class is:

  • Free for members + a guest

  • A chance to experience the class before public rollout

Starting the following week, Sunday Power Yoga will be open to the public every Sunday morning at 8:00 AM.
